Stephen Sheffield, a native of the Boston Area, is an alumnus of Cornell University, where he obtained a BFA in Painting with a minor in photography. He received his MFA in photography from California College of Arts & Crafts (now CAA), in Oakland/San Francisco where he studied with Larry Sultan, Jean Finley and Chris Johnson and others.

He was recently featured in a number of shows at the Judi Rotenberg Gallery in Boston.
